The scorching heat has continued throughout Japan and the entire world. Besides, the weather is changeable. Locally heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms are often reported.

Global warming and heat island phenomenon must contribute to the abnormal weather.

The global population has grown so far. According to an old news article of Yomiuri Shinbun, the number of global population increased 3.8 times from 1900 to 2000.

In 2100, it is estimated to be 8.8 billion or 10.9 billion.

It was in 1879 that Edison invented the lightbulb.

In 1902, Willis Carrier, an America engineer, invented the first electrical air conditioner.

In only a century, human life has drastically changed. Not everyone around the world can enjoy current affluence but the same number of people as the present world population cannot live in an old society.

Fortunately, I am living in a blessed environment but there are quite a few people who find difficulty adapting modern society. Some cannot get the right job. During this Covid outbreak, more people are struggling to continue their job.

The weather forecast says that scorching hot days with temperatures over 35 degrees C will continue another week in my area.

I am tired of this heat but luckily I can keep working. I would work in gratitude hoping that my job can be of some help maintain social vitality.

It is what I can do for the future of our planet I believe.
