Today is a national holiday, the Autumnal Equinox Day. Because of the two approaching typhoons, it seems to be raining during the three-day weekend.

The seven-day period, three days before and after an equinox day is called ”Higan” (bank of the other side), which means another world. On the contrary, this world is called “Shigan” (this side).

Many people visit their family graves during the Higan because it is believed that the spirits of ancestors return to this world during that period.

Shall I think about Three Good Things again?

Yesterday…

The coffee I drank was my most favorite blend. Every morning I stay at the cafe near my office about an hour before work. It is an important time for me to study, think things or prepare for work. The regular coffee of the day is chosen from their many original blends. I like all of them but especially I like best the one chosen yesterday.

Secondary, the clear blue sky was very beautiful. The weather was changeable. There were lots of clouds and sometimes even rained. During such a day, the brief sunny moment was fantastic.

The third is that the work was not so busy as I expected, though this week, that we call Silver Week, had two national holidays.

They say that Three Good Things help you focus on your own positive feeling.

After you did your best to tackle with a negative event, no matter how it went, it would be good to regain a calm mind as soon as possible. It is a waste of time to keep filled with negative feeling. However, negative feeling can often stay on and occupy your mind.

Today, I slept a bit longer in the morning and started writing this blog soon (It took some time to finish though). Today is certainly a good day too.
