In the nearby irrigation canal, a lot of ducks are seen. Spot-billed ducks are known to live in Japan all year round, so I seldom stop to look at them.
Among them, a beautiful green face of a duck was striking for me. I searched the net and knew that it was a mallard. Male birds have a beautiful green face. They migrate to warmer Japan and stay during the winter season.

It did not get skittish when I was approaching. It did not make to move to run away….
