June is my birthday month. It is a good season to enjoy seeing multihued hydrangeas. The illustration of hydrangeas and a snail is popular and my typical image of June.

However, I somehow disliked hydrangeas when I was a child. I almost felt like I should not have been born in June.

Sometimes, I call up such a distant memory and wonder why I disliked the beautiful hydrangeas as a child.

The good season for hydrangea is almost over here. The summer heat in Japan is too strong for them to survive. When I was in England, it was a nice surprise to see that hydrangeas were in full bloom for a much longer time. If my memory is correct, they were fresh and colorful even in September.
