Dogs are humans’ oldest companions, DNA shows.


According to this interesting article, dogs have lived with people for as long as 11,000 years, while many domestic animals, such as cats, have lived with us for 6,000 years.

Modernization and urbanization have progressed and people’s lifestyle has rapidly changed.
Our companion animals’ life is also drastically changing.

Dogs are omnivores.

They thought to have been descended from wolves.

As a matter of fact, wolves are omnivores.

However, people’s lifestyle must have been affecting a change in dogs’ food preferences.


Komatsuna (green vegetables) were boiled and dressed in homemade miso, sesame paste and sugar.


Satoimo (Taros) were coated with rice flour and deep fried in oil.

Dogs may eat a bit of Komatsuna and Satoimo.
