Yesterday there was a full moon on the clear night. September 10th this year was August 15th in the lunar calendar. The full moon on August 15th is called Choshu-no-Meigetsu (harvest moon), which means a great full moon seen in the middle of autumn. It is bright and beautiful with a perfectly round shape.

Although times are changing and their living places are different, people have been seeing the harvest moon. Tsukimi Dango (rice dumplings eaten while seeing a great full moon) is eaten and Japanese pampas grass are decorated enjoying the beautiful moon.

We have become materially wealthy and live longer. But I personally think that not many people enjoy seeing moon. As for me, I was not interested in seeing a moon when I was young. I had a lot of worries and was always busy learning many things to overcome stress and work pressure. I think my case was ok. I was successfully keeping myself busy without leaving me a room to dwelling on the negative.

Now it is a bit early to think of my life after retirement, but I can give myself time to think my own happiness.

Steve Jobs said “Your time is limited”.

Each moment is precious. Who makes me enjoy my life? It is undoubtedly myself.

Thankful to everything I would like to enjoy every moment without missing a small enjoyable happening.
