Discovery and quantification of plastic particle pollution in human blood

They detected microplastics in human blood for the first time.

In the blood of 17 out of the 22 healthy volunteers plastic particles were found. They say that more study is needed to clarify the health risk.

I wonder if the argument about the methods of measurement and analysis might be remained but they say “Blood donors were from general public”. So most of people all over the world might have plastic particles in the blood. So do plants and animals on earth. It is scary.

My small balcony is full of spring. Plants are strong and beautiful.

Probably it is still not too late to reduce plastic waste!
